How the Air-Cooled Mini Chiller Works
The chiller operates via a compression cycle; chilled water flows through piping to the target area and the designated heat exchanger unit (such as a fan coil or air handling unit), where the ambient air is cooled as it passes over the exchanger coil. Since the pump and expansion tank are built directly into the chiller unit, there is no need for piping or water pumping from a central mechanical room; The piping is located inside the building; depending on whether the chiller is installed on the terrace or the roof, a connection is established via piping between the chiller unit and the fan coil units, and the chilled water produced is pumped to the coils within the fan coils.
